Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey is one of the most promising players on the professional poker circuit. Phil Ivy is a hard core professional who has an uncanny habit of staring down at his opponents. Because of his remarkable poker playing skills and tenacity to put in long hours on the poker table, some people call him Tiger Woods of Poker.

Phil Ivey is a just 28 years and is playing professional poker for almost eleven years. Phil Ivey was born in California and grew up in New Jersey.  He has since  moved to Atlantic City to play professionally. Phil was just 23 when he won his first World Series of Poker title in the year 2000. Phil won the title for pot limit Omaha and raked in $195,000 as prize money.

Phil Ivey started playing poker at the age of 8-9 with his grandfather. He started playing for money at the age of 16. At that age, Phil used to play under a fake identity of Jerome Graham to gain entry into casinos. Phil Ivey has now moved to Las Vegas where he lives with his wife Luciaetta.

According to estimates, Phil Ivey has made close to $2.5 millions in tournament poker as on 2004. By then, he had four World Series of Poker bracelets. Some remarkable Poker tournament wins of Phil Ivey are, first place in First Place Poker Championship Turning Stone NLHE, Third Place WPT Five-Star Classic NLHE, Second Place WPT World poker Open NLHE, and many more. Phil Ivey's biggest tournament win was in 2003 when he won $ 290,130 for second place in World poker Open, Tunica in 2003.

Phil Ivey was at the zenith of his professional poker career in 2002 when he won three championship bracelets of World Series of Poker. Phil Ivey has achieved this commendable success in professional poker because he maintains a focus while playing.

Phil Ivey is a hardworking player and can play for as long as 50 hours if the situation demands. Phil Ivey prefers live games to poker tournaments but still plays in tournaments because he likes to win. When Phil Ivey is not playing poker, he follows games of basketball. His favorite team is Los Angeles Lakers.
